New Module at La Catalina Foundation - Donate Now!

Scholarship Program hosts 60 Youth ages 13-21

30 Children at Summer Camp

La Manzanilla residents use La Catalina Foundation facilities daily for computer, art, tutoring, English, meeting space, training & more!

The Project

Since 2004, La Catalina Foundation has been rapidly growing!  With the addition of our computer Lab in 2013, the Rural Literacy Library Program, the ever-blossoming and expanding Wings Scholarship program serving 60 youths, and our new Homework Club, an increase in support staff became a necessity.  The dire need for a modest office space for our administrative staff grew to become our top priority.

This new module, currently under construction, is a 3 x 6 meter building which will serve as our administrative office.  Fifty percent of this year’s auction proceeds, along with private donations, provided the seed money to start the construction. The public-building-grade foundation, structural components, and brick and mortar will be completed by the end of the week!

Together, with your help, we will see this dream to fruition.  Donate TODAY to help with the completion of:

  • ·         Exterior stucco
  • ·         Roof
  • ·         Doors and windows
  • ·         Interior
  • ·         Utilities

Here is what has been invested and what is still needed!

Estimated Project Cost:      168,000 pesos

Funds raised and applied:     96,000 pesos

TOTAL STILL NEEDED:     72,000 pesos

Your donation will provide a finished, usable space to better serve the youth of La Manzanilla!

Make your donation TODAY through PayPal or through Cultural Media Services to receive a U.S. tax deduction.
