Auction Fundraiser
"A Night Under the Stars" auction benefit is an annual event held by La Catalina Foundation to raise money for sustaining and enhancing its current programs and to support the local schools. Services and misc. items are collected from businesses which range in value and scope.
We try to collect a range of items, from new to used, so that there are items that are accessible to everyone.
Our 2010 auction will start on-line for big ticket items from Jan. 22 - Feb. 12. Bidding may be done on this website. Items available will include stays at fancy hotels and resorts along the “Costa Alegre”, art by local artists, and gift certificates at restaurants and other local businesses.
Items not sold on our online auction will be carried over to our “A Night under the Stars” live auction and party on Saturday, February 27th in La Manzanilla's main plaza across from the church. The event begins at 6pm and usually finishes around 10pm. In addition to some big ticket auction items, we will also have smaller items, such as appliances, tools and merchandise from local merchants.
